I spent the next couple days just wandering around, and using the free internet at the library trying to find some travel mates and came upon a great deal on a bus pass, like 55% off, going from Auckland down to Christchurch hitting all the hot spots, so I decided to buy one up! I put out some different ads on the net for a road trip up north for a couple days and met up with Rob, a art teacher from Jersey and David, a surfer from California. We went for a few beers and Rob and I were 100% committed and David said he was 80%, but didn’t seem really reliable! I had the car all booked ready to go so if nobody showed up I’d be going by myself.
